Twitter has just announced it’s plans to discontinue the popular Twitter client TweetDeck For iPhone, Android & The desktop version. You still have chance to download TweetDeck until it is taken from the App store in May.
This comes after the team have spent the last 18 months working on a new web based app along side a Chrome app which is said to address your unique needs.
“We think these web and Chrome app provide the best experience yet”
This changes comes after the current TweetDeck apps use version 1.0 of Twitter’s API which is not outdated by version 1.1. It looks like finally Twitter have stopped focusing on third party apps and started paying attention to their own in house apps.
The TweetDeck team understand that users will not agree or be happy with the changes but they do apologises.
Twitter acquired TweetDeck back in 2011 for $40 million – $50 million
