It was only a few months ago we seen the chain of photography stores Jacobs go to in to administration and now the UK’s biggest photography retailer Jessops is doing the same. The UK has seen some big retail giants go bust in the last couple of months such as Comet and they finished up with a big fire sale but thats a no go for Jessops.
All Jessops retails store shut today for good resulting in 1,370 jobs being lost and more are expected at its head quarters. Instead of doing a fire sale Jessops will be sending all their stock back to the central warehouse.
If you have outstanding orders or other questions more information can be found on their website were they posted the following message -
“With effect from 11 January 2013, Jessops online and retail stores have ceased trading”
